Where it is
The largest volcanic lake in Europe and the fifth largest in Italy, is found a few kilometres north of the main town in the province of Viterbo at the borders of Tuscany and Umbria and approximately 40 kms from the Tyrrenian sea. A road of around 60 kms encircles it and whether you find yourself a few metres from the shore or far away on the coast, the view offered is always spectacular.
The Lake of Bolsena is easily reached from the A1 motorway, from the state road Aurelia SS 1 and from the state road Cassia SS 2. By rail to Orvieto, Viterbo or Rome and continuing by bus. Before presenting the exceptional landscape for our next excursion, it is necessary to highlight our conception of the territory and its protection, the deep link with this and our belief that a correct approach for a right and winning formula.. we always pay attention to the exploitation of the human components, forever linked to the territory. Not only extraordinary landscape and evocative corners, but also history, culture and traditions of the people who live there, even though in the effort to defend them and keep them from the grips of homologation and globalisation.
This site wants to be a homage to our ancestors and to the spirits of the place further than being a point of reference and propagation for the inhabitants, the tourists, the schools and the curious ones.
