Thermal baths
Next to the Botanical garden of Viterbo (about 25 Kms far from the lake) in Bulicame Street, you will find a magnificent park (still in construction) with pools, full of thermal water, in which you can also pleasantly bath in the winter periods making it a unique, suggestive and healthy place.
The water of the source is solfureo-sulfate-bicarbonate alcalinoferrosa with fluorine and it comes up from the earth’s deep-down at a temperature of 58° Cs and it is the most famous of the Viterbo area because of its therapeutic qualities.
In these places we can still discover the fascinating and mysterious history of the Etruscans, who were the true discoverers of the beneficent qualities of the thermal water; they attributed to it miraculous properties thinking to have had a gift from the divinities.

The same source feeds the structures of the Papi Thermal baths (that we warmly advise to visit); it’s one of the most famous and avant-garde thermal establishment in Italy with treatments and enjoyable qualified services during the whole year. The natural thermal sources are still open for everyone who wants to find its psico-physical equilibrium and the pleasure to bathe in these extraordinary waters to absorb its beneficent properties.
Its notable merit is found in the chemical-physics characteristics that make it suitable for a lot of uses in thermal therapies (one of the most appreciated for the medical hydrology) particularly in the treatment and prevention of the whole respiratory and osteoarticular apparatus’ chronic affections; also the illnesses of the skin, of the genital apparatus and the illnesses of metabolic disorder find a notable benefit thanks to the treatments effected with this water.
