The Lake of Bolsena, situated to the inner complex of the Vulsinio volcano, hidden between some of the mos fascinating and evocative landscapes of the territory that only a guided exploration allows to discover.
Hidden gorges, inlets detracted from view, suggestive corners, verdant banks rich with vegetation, green mirrors of water bordering abundant reeds.
The lake boasts the presence of 2 islands, Bisentina and Martana, rich with traces of ancient civilisation and luxuriant vegetation.

Breakfast on the lakeside of Capodimonte
Excursion on the lake with studies of nature and archaeological history
Stop and bathe in one of the more evocative gorges of Bisentina island
Explore the more striking inlets of Bisentina with traces of the Farnesian period and architecural works created on the island by some of the best Italian artists of the 400’s
Return in time for lunch

Explore the more striking inlets of Bisentina island with traces of the Farnesian period and architecural works created on the island by some of the best Italian artists of the 400’s
Stop at Gradoli for of lunch of typical lakeside gastronomy
Continue coasting the banks rich with swamp reed, and other floral species like the aquatic watercress and veronica. Signs of the use of the reeds in centuries past. Scrutiny of flora and fauna as well as the geometrical formation of the lake.

By boat on the Lake of Bolsena
The excursion schedule:
Leave from the Port of Capodimonte, sail around the two islands Bisentina and Martana with studies of the nature, history and archaeology of the lake and localities, follow the coast of Marta village then return to Capodimonte.
Cost: 8 euro per person
