The satellite Spot 1, launched in 1986, 22 February and the satellite Spot 2, launched in 1990, 22 January covers a 832 km. high heliosynchronous polar circular orbit. It, with an inclination of 98°7', is completed in a period of 101 minutes. The repetition frequency is 26 days, but thanks to the possibility of orientating the sensor obliquely as regards the trace, the same area on the earth's surface can be observed at intervals of about 3 days. satellit info>>>
