The characteristic hamlet has Faliscan origins and it is situated on an imposing rocky massif, the territory is bordered by the course of the river Trejas and by the ditch of the Mola.
During the Roman age, the village is called Stabla after the near Statio of Stabulum on the Via Flaminia; with this name it is mentioned in a document of 998 concerning the donation of the village and of its territory to the Monastery of St. Andrea and St. Gregorio in Rome.
Since 1300 it was ruled by the Anguillara family.

Historic centre It is abandoned since long time, even if since long time the municipal administration has approved a project of recovery and restoration.
St. Julians Church
It was built in the 13th century and it has been recently restored.
