The traces of human traces in the territory of Calcata date back to the pre-historic times. In the surrounding areas many structures and finds dating
back to the oldest periods of the Etruscan-Faliscan civilizations, have been discovered. Near Narce there are several necropolis whose tombs have
given back a great quantity of finds, today kept in the National Museum of the Agro Falisco of Civita Castellana.
